Matt Brundage

Major: Scientific and technical communication

Years on the board: This is my first year.

Favorite place on campus: The corner of Oak and 4th St. with Mariucci, The
Barn and TCF all right there. It’s amazing. And also, the Village Wok.

Favorite current Gopher: “Intensity” Ralph Sampson, far and away. RS3 will
dominate this year.

Favorite former Gopher: Dave Winfield. He was an amazing all-around
athlete. One of two men ever to be drafted into three professional sports.
Enshrined in Cooperstown. He helped lead the Gophs to their first Big Ten
basketball championship in over 50 years in 1972.

Favorite Gopher memory: The comeback last year at Wisconsin. Watching
Westbrook take over that game and sink the tying three with three seconds
left was incredible.

Favorite Gopher team other than basketball: Men’s hockey. You have to love
the tradition and intensity of Gopher hockey.

What you are most looking forward to this year: Competing for our first
legitimate Big Ten championship since 1982. And Jan. 23 when Michigan State
comes to town.

Favorite Cheer/Song/Cadence/Antic: I love Hail! Minnesota.

What pumps you up for gameday? Getting all dudded up and listening to Hail!
Minnesota before heading down to Williams.
